Hello, I'm new here. although I've hung out as a non-member reading posts for a few months. Be warned, this post is long. :shocking: So, what prompted me to sign up for a membership and post is my 25-year-old compressor blew up last week. It shattered the connecting rod on one of the pistons, and of course, you can't buy replacements for those anymore. It was a Craftsman 60 Gal. upright two-cylinder single-stage oil-less compressor that I inherited from my father. It worked well for my needs for all the years I've had it. There wasn't really an air system, just a quick disconnect on the compressor where I hooked up what I needed. I could probably have one of...
When the HF 44" was on sale last month, I grabbed one, along with one side cabinet and one side locker. Picked up a piece of counter top (6') at Menards for $45.00, and ended up with this. Actually, for the money, a very nice set and works for me well.

Recently I picked up a few specialist tool sets at a shop that was closing down, mainly getting things that I already have and used but missing parts for. Things like bearing puller or press sets, noid light kit, and rivnut installer etc. All those sort of things that its really useful to keep in a blow mould case and have all together when you need them. Struggling though to figure out a good way of being able to store the blow moulds neatly. Normally i would just pull the tools out and put them in Kaizen foam in a drawer one of my tool boxes. But here i want to keep all the fiddly accessories in the blow moulds....
Hi all;
I could use some thoughts on how to use this wall case in the garage. I just won it at auction ($2.08), it is 8' x 4' x 6". I just built a tool storage cabinet this summer that opens up to 8' wide (two bifold doors open up 2' on either side), so I have no immediate need for hand tool storage.
I don't envision using the glass, but making other doors, either sliding or hinged. I could mount it vertically against the wall and put in shelves to store things like spray paint.
Thoughts? (click the pic to make it bigger).
