It has been several years since I’ve mentioned Williams’ hard-handle screwdrivers, and about a decade since I purchased a set of them. These aren’t my favorite screwdrivers, but I do enjoy using them, and they’re quite different from most of the other screwdrivers I typically reach for more frequently. A 7pc set of Snap-on hard-handle screwdrivers, with Phillips and slotted tips, is currently $200 via their website. That comes out to around $28.57 per screwdriver. Williams hard-handle screwdrivers are similar in style, which isn’t surprising since Williams is a Snap-on Industrial company, but priced a lot lower. The 5-piece set that’s shown above is currently priced at $42, and you can get an 8pc set for $52. I have seen...
Over at Amazon they have a Pelican case deal of the day, today only, 11/27/19. There are a couple of other discounted cases beyond these. Pelican cases are expensive. First, they’re really, really tough and durable. I own a couple of Pelican cases for tools and camera equipment, and they’re incredibly well-made, strong, and durable. Granted I haven’t put them through anywhere near as much abuse as they can handle, but I know they can handle it. Amazon and Pelican have had deals of the day on 12/26...
I started buying Rayovac alkaline batteries a couple of years ago, starting around 2014 when I came across a holiday promo and posted about. Rayovac claims that their batteries last as long as Duracell. Some batteries were made in the USA, others in China. I sought out the ones with made-in-USA packaging. I bought more Rayovac batteries the following year, and more again the year after that. Almost every year now, I buy multi-packs or bulk packs of Rayovac batteries. They are made in the USA and had decent pricing. I like using rechargeable batteries in some devices, but don’t really want to put pricey NiMH cells in kids toys. Rayovac’s disposable alkaline batteries worked well enough at good pricing, or...
