If you love to bake or simply prefer to make most of your food from scratch, chances are you have a ton of kitchen appliances. From mixers to slow cookers and everything in between, the worst part about having so many gadgets is where to store them when they’re not in use.
That’s why KitchenAid created a new stand mixer that is more like a work of art than merely a cooking tool, meaning you’ll actually want to display it on the counter instead of hiding it away in a cabinet.
The new limited-edition Light & Shadow stand mixer features a sand-soaked tonal color on the mixer and a textured, black studded bowl that KitchenAid claims will reflect the light differently as time passes throughout the day.
KitchenAid’s design team says the new mixer is the brand’s most artful appliance to date and will easily earn a spot as a permanent fixture on countertops. It certainly seems to provide an appealing blend of classic mixer functionality with a sleek and modern style.
The mixer with the studded bowl costs $549.99 or you can opt for a gleaming stainless steel bowl for $449.99. You can find the Light & Shadow stand mixer for sale directly from KitchenAid’s website or at select retailers.
There are a few other statement-making appliances on the market that can be left out on the counter as well, like the Pioneer Woman’s Instant Pot or the Pioneer Woman’s Crockpot.
The Instant Pot from Ree Drummond’s Pioneer Woman kitchen line comes in two colors, both covered in a pretty floral print, while the Crockpot comes in four cheerful, floral designs that will look cozy and inviting on the countertop. The Pioneer Woman’s affordable home goods can be found at Walmart.
